Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has scheduled the 2026 Intermediate Public Examinations from February 25 to March 18 and introduced the first syllabus revision in 12 years.
Board Secretary Krishna Aditya announced the updates during a press conference at the Inter Board office in Nampally on Friday. He said first-year students will now face external lab exams carrying 30 marks. The revision, based on NCERT guidelines, involves junior and degree college lecturers.
The Board plans to submit the updated syllabus to the Telugu Academy by December 15. New textbooks, featuring QR codes, will be released by April 2026.
Telangana Inter exams 2026: lab tests, ACE group, multi-language practicals
Practical exams for the 2026 cycle will start on February 3. Krishna Aditya said students will now take practicals in multiple languages, alongside English.
The Board will also launch a new ‘ACE group’. Committees handling changes to curriculum and structure, including for accountancy, are expected to complete their work within 45 days.
The Board will begin collecting exam fees on November 1. A detailed timetable will be issued soon.
