Hyderabad: The Telangana Human Rights Commission action targeted vehicles misusing government, press, and advocate titles. Officials found three vehicles displaying illegal symbols and emblems.
Investigators said vehicle owners used the State and National Emblems without permission. They also displayed fake “Advocate” and “PRESS” boards and installed sirens.
Telangana Human Rights Commission action seeks accountability
The Commission ordered several departments to act immediately. The Chief Secretary will prepare a report to curb impersonation and title misuse.
The Director General of Police will remove illegal sirens and emblems. The Transport Commissioner will check vehicle registration details and verify any alterations.
The Bar Council will inspect misuse of the “Advocate” symbol. The Information and Public Relations Department will examine fake “PRESS” usage. The Registrar of Societies and the Registration & Stamps Department will verify the organisations involved.
The Commission directed all three vehicle owners to submit their explanations by November 24, 2025, at 11 a.m.
