Telangana hikes medical students’ stipend by 15 percent

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced a 15 per cent hike in the stipend for medical students, with orders issued by the health department on Sunday. The revision will apply to MBBS as well as dental students.

Authorities also decided to raise the monthly honorarium paid to senior resident doctors. Under the new rates, senior residents will now receive ₹29,792 per month.

For postgraduate doctors, the revised monthly amounts will stand at ₹67,032 for the first year, ₹70,757 for the second year, and ₹74,782 for the final year.
