Telangana GPO recruitment results announced, 3,550 candidates clear written test

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday announced the results of the Gram Palana Officers (GPO) recruitment examination, held by the Revenue Department to fill crucial posts at the village level.

The written test was conducted on 25 May across all district centres in the state. Within just five days, authorities completed the evaluation process and published the results on the official website https://ccla.telangana.gov.in. Candidates can now check their ranks online.

The recruitment drive targeted former VROs and VRA employees who had earlier expressed their interest in joining the GPO cadre. A total of 3,550 candidates who belong to these former cadres appeared for the exam.

According to official sources, appointment orders are likely to be issued within two to three days. The government aims to deploy the newly selected GPOs at the village level before Telangana Formation Day on 2 June.

Currently, there are 10,954 sanctioned GPO posts in the state. With only 3,550 candidates having taken the written test, the government is expected to soon decide on how to fill the remaining vacancies.
