Hyderabad: Telangana moved ahead with preparations for the Telangana global summit, scheduled for December 8 and 9, as the Congress government pushed to invite more than 4,000 delegates, including key national leaders.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka left Begumpet Airport on Tuesday evening. They travelled to Delhi to deliver formal invitations. The government had already decided to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Therefore, the visit aimed to complete those invitations directly.
In Delhi, the Chief Minister met Kharge. He was joined by the Deputy Chief Minister and Telangana Congress MPs. They invited him to attend the “Telangana Global Summit – 2025,” which will be held at Bharat Future City. They also explained the scale of the event and its planned sessions.
CM plans wider outreach for Telangana global summit
Revanth Reddy will meet the Prime Minister at 11 a.m. today on Wednesday. He will issue a formal invitation to the Telangana global summit. After the meeting, he will also call on several Union ministers and urge them to join the event. These visits, according to officials, will help secure broader national participation.
The state administration continued its arrangements for the summit. Officials said the event will attract delegates from industry, government and international institutions. They noted that the Delhi meetings formed a crucial step in presenting the summit as a major platform for investment and policy dialogue.
The Congress government stated that the summit will outline Telangana’s development vision. It will also support collaboration across sectors. Invitations to national leaders are part of the government’s plan to ensure an inclusive approach.
