Hyderabad: Telangana is no longer just competing with other Indian states—it’s now holding its own on the global stage, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka declared on Thursday. Addressing a packed hall of aspiring chartered accountants at the National-Level CA Students’ Conference hosted by the ICAI Hyderabad branch, Bhatti said the state had carved a niche among developed nations through rapid industrial and technological strides.
Speaking at Shilpakala Vedika, he spotlighted Telangana’s transformation into a hub for sectors such as IT, Pharma, Artificial Intelligence, and textiles. Projects like the Future City initiative, Musi River rejuvenation, and the Regional Ring Road were laying the foundation for sustained global relevance, he said.
Bhatti also hailed Telangana as a fertile ground for emerging CA professionals, offering them opportunities not just to work, but to thrive. He commended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as a cornerstone of the country’s financial integrity and professional ethics.
“In an age ruled by automation, integrity is your greatest currency,” he told students, urging them to uphold honesty, fairness, and accountability. He credited ICAI for instilling such values since its inception in 1949, adding that the institution had grown into a financial powerhouse with over 4.26 lakh members and nearly a million students nationwide.
He singled out the Hyderabad branch for its contribution, noting its 14,500 members and 31,000 students. “You are not just statistics you are strength, vision, and promise,” he remarked.

The Deputy CM reminded students that being a chartered accountant is more than passing exams it is a lifelong commitment to learning and public service. He said ICAI’s alumni were now serving in key financial roles across the world, and CA students were not merely chasing careers but preparing to manage the fiscal backbone of businesses and governments.
He emphasised the evolving role of chartered accountants from guardians of public trust to architects of economic progress. As India eyes a $5 trillion economy, CAs, he said, will be instrumental in business reforms, startup support, and robust financial systems.
Bhatti urged students to think beyond personal gain and use their skills for public good by conducting social audits, mentoring small businesses, and aiding in government fiscal planning. “Be the partners in India’s growth story,” he said.
