Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday reviewed the impact of heavy rains with Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials at the Secretariat. He directed district collectors to stay alert and monitor the situation continuously.
Collectors told to monitor low-lying areas, GHMC and NDRF on standby
The Chief Minister cited the India Meteorological Department’s forecast of heavy rainfall across several districts for the next two days. He asked collectors to keep strict watch on low-lying areas, issue advance warnings in vulnerable zones, and take immediate precautionary measures.
In Hyderabad, Revanth ordered GHMC, HYDRAA, NDRF, and SDRF teams to remain on standby. He instructed the administration to act promptly in waterlogged areas and ensure residents do not face hardship.
