Telangana Cabinet to meet today under CM Revanth Reddy to discuss BC quota rulings and local polls

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will meet today (Thursday) to discuss major policy and administrative issues. Ministers will gather at the Secretariat to focus on court rulings related to Backward Classes (BC) reservations and the schedule for local body elections.

Officials said the Cabinet will review the recent High Court and Supreme Court judgments on BC reservations. The ministers plan to decide on the government’s legal and administrative response to the verdicts.

The Chief Minister will also lead a review of monsoon paddy procurement across the state. He is expected to instruct officials to complete grain collection on time and release payments promptly to farmers.

Metro expansion and major projects on agenda

The Cabinet will assess progress on Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase 1 land acquisition and the upcoming Phase 2 works. Officials will present updates on project timelines, clearances, and financial plans.

In addition, ministers will discuss several key infrastructure and welfare projects aimed at improving public services.
