HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP Legislative Party leader and Nirmal MLA, Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, has strongly criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for participating in the BC Welfare Association’s Maha Dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. He alleged that the Congress-led protest was a strategic move to divert attention from the pressing issues in Telangana.
Speaking to the media, Maheshwar Reddy pointed out that while agricultural lands in the state are drying up due to a lack of irrigation, no Congress leader is addressing the concerns of farmers. He accused the state government of failing to deliver on its electoral promises, particularly regarding farmer welfare.
The BJP leader also raised concerns over the controversies surrounding university lands in Telangana. He questioned the necessity of the Chief Minister’s trip to Delhi for a protest when the state is grappling with multiple crises. According to him, the Congress government is neglecting governance while engaging in political theatrics in the national capital.
Maheshwar Reddy urged the state government to prioritise Telangana’s immediate problems instead of focusing on national-level protests. He emphasised that the people of Telangana are looking for solutions to their issues, not political distractions.
