Telangana ACB catches Tahsildar and private person for ₹2 lakh bribe in Chityal

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Gugulothu Krishna, Tahsildar of Chityal Mandal, and Gattu Ramesh, a private person, for accepting a ₹2 lakh bribe in Nalgonda district.

Officials said the accused demanded the bribe to complete a land mutation process. They also wanted money to submit a survey report on another land belonging to M/s Ratna Housing and Estates Private Limited.

ACB officers caught both men red-handed while they took the cash. The agency filed a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and began legal proceedings.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau asked citizens to report any bribe demand by government officials. People can call the Toll-Free Number 1064 or message WhatsApp (9440446106). They can also contact the bureau via Facebook or the official website https://acb.telangana.gov.in.

Officials said the bureau would keep complainants’ identities completely confidential.
