Task Force illegal bakery bust in Hyderabad, goods worth ₹12.54 lakh seized

Hyderabad: The Task Force illegal bakery bust led to the arrest of a 46-year-old man and seizure of goods worth ₹12.54 lakh during a raid in the city.

The Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda Zone, along with Gudimalkapur Police, conducted the operation at KD Colony. Officers arrested Ahmed Raza, son of Mohd Raza, for running an unlicensed bakery unit under unhygienic conditions.

Police said the accused was manufacturing bakery items without mandatory approvals. He was also preparing food products in conditions that violated basic hygiene standards.

During the raid, officials seized raw materials, finished products such as biscuits, buns, and rusk, along with machinery used in production. The total value of the seized property was estimated at ₹12,54,280.

Investigators found that the accused had been supplying these products to local shops, cafés, and hotels across Hyderabad. Officials said the distribution of such items posed a serious risk to public health.

The accused was taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to identify the supply network and any additional violations linked to the operation.
