Srinivas Goud seeks action over baby death at Kummera Jatara

Hyderabad: Former minister Srinivas Goud sought strict action in the baby death Kummera Jatara case and submitted a complaint to Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy on Monday.

He visited the DGP’s office in Hyderabad and demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the alleged killing of a two-month-old infant. The baby reportedly belonged to the Rajaka community. He urged authorities to ensure justice for the victim’s family without delay.

Srinivas Goud said those responsible for the baby death Kummera Jatara incident must face stringent legal action. Moreover, he called for preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in future religious gatherings. He stressed that law enforcement agencies must act decisively to maintain public confidence.

He was accompanied by former BC Commission members Kishore Goud and Upender Chari. Former Corporation Chairman Balaraju Yadav and BRS leaders Swami Yadav and Raju were also present during the visit.

Srinivas Goud urged the police leadership to expedite the investigation. He said accountability in the baby death Kummera Jatara case would send a strong message against violence and negligence.

He reiterated that the rights and safety of vulnerable communities must be protected at all public events. Therefore, he pressed for strict monitoring and enhanced security measures at future gatherings.

Officials have not yet issued a detailed statement on the complaint.
