Sridhar Babu warns BRS against dictating Speaker in Assembly

Hyderabad: Minister for Legislative Affairs Duddilla Sridhar Babu warned BRS members against trying to dictate the Speaker on how Assembly proceedings should run.

He made the remarks on Wednesday while reacting strongly to objections raised by BRS members during the introduction of Bills.

The minister said the opposition should not interfere with the Speaker’s functioning. He also asked how BRS members expected to behave now as they did in power.

He alleged that the previous regime bulldozed proceedings during its tenure. Therefore, he said the opposition continued the same approach.
