Hyderabad: Telangana Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Tuesday invited French companies to invest in the state’s Future City project, a 30,000-acre innovation hub planned under a Public-Private Partnership model.
He was speaking at a roundtable hosted by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) at the Secretariat. The meeting was attended by senior Telangana government officials and representatives from leading French firms.
The Minister said the Future City project is central to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s plan to establish Telangana as a global centre for innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability.
He said Telangana has attracted over ₹3 lakh crore in investments in the last 18 months. In 2023 alone, Hyderabad added 70 Global Capability Centres. He attributed this to the state’s governance model and investor-friendly policies.
He urged French companies to look at opportunities in Future City across sectors such as AI, clean energy, and manufacturing. He also said Telangana is using Artificial Intelligence to improve the TG-iPASS industrial clearance system.
Companies like Sanofi, Monin, Safran, Capgemini, Dassault, Teleperformance, and Opella Healthcare already have operations in Telangana in industries ranging from aerospace and pharmaceuticals to IT and food processing.
The Minister encouraged expansion into new areas like digital governance, green mobility, smart healthcare, agri-innovation, and future-ready education. He said the government is committed to facilitating Indo-French economic ties beyond just capital investments.
The French delegation included executives from Monin India, Opella Healthcare, Safran Aircraft Engine Services India, Sanofi India, Teleperformance, Ziegler Aerospace, and Var Electrochem Pvt. Ltd.
Sridhar Babu said Telangana will continue to support French businesses in establishing and expanding their presence in the state.
