Sports Hackathon 2026 poster unveiled in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Sports and Fisheries Minister Vakiti Srihari unveiled the Sports Hackathon 2026 poster and logo at the Ministers’ Quarters in Hyderabad on Thursday.

SATS Chairman Shivsena Reddy and Hackathon organiser Sandeep Kumar attended the programme. The ceremony marked the formal launch of promotional material for Sports Hackathon 2026.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Telangana had earned the honour of hosting Sports Hackathon 2026. He described it as the world’s inaugural and largest league for stadium-level sports innovation. The event will take place at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.

Sports Hackathon 2026 to unite youth and innovators

Vakiti Srihari said Sports Hackathon went beyond a conventional competition. Instead, he called it a global initiative that blended sports with technology.

Unlike traditional hackathons, organisers will conduct the event inside a professional stadium. Participants will engage directly in sports activities during the programme. Consequently, they will use that experience to develop practical solutions to real challenges in the sports sector.

The Minister said Sports Hackathon aims to bring together youth, athletes, students, technology professionals and startups from all 33 districts of Telangana. Organisers expect around 10,000 participants to attend. In addition, several international delegates are likely to join the event.

He added that Sports Hackathon will encourage creativity and innovation among young people. Therefore, he described it as a significant step in strengthening the sports sector.

Finally, Vakiti Srihari urged youth to participate actively in the event scheduled for March 28 and 29.
