Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Tuesday expressed deep condolences over the demise of former MLAs Chandupatla Ram Reddy and Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri.
In a statement, the Speaker prayed for peace to their souls. He also conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members.
Chandupatla Ram Reddy earlier represented the Manthani Assembly constituency. He served as an MLA from 1994 to 1999 on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party.
Former MLAs demise recalled by Speaker
Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri won from the Charminar constituency in 2004. He went on to represent the same constituency for three consecutive terms.
Later, he contested from Yakutpura in 2018 and served as an MLA until 2023. During his political career, he remained closely associated with Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, the founder of the Majlis party.
Recalling their public service, the Speaker said both leaders had contributed significantly to legislative life. He said their demise was a loss to Telangana politics.
