South India Science Fair 2026 concludes at Sangareddy

Hyderabad: The South India Science Fair 2026 concluded on Friday at Gadiyam School in Kollur, Sangareddy district, with students presenting a wide range of innovative science models.

During the valedictory programme, Medical and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha interacted with students and reviewed their projects. He appreciated their creativity and encouraged them to pursue scientific thinking beyond classrooms.

Addressing the students, the minister stressed the importance of language skills, creativity and practical abilities. According to him, these skills would help students excel in an increasingly competitive world.

Meanwhile, Damodar Raja Narasimha said the Telangana government was giving top priority to quality education and healthcare. He added that this focus covered all levels, from primary education to the establishment of ₹200-crore Integrated Schools in every constituency.

In addition, the minister highlighted efforts to strengthen district-level healthcare infrastructure. He said the government was expanding nursing colleges and, at the same time, introducing foreign language training in Japanese and German to open global opportunities for students.

At the conclusion of the event, organisers presented cash prizes, shields and certificates to students for outstanding innovations. Consequently, participants received encouragement to continue research-oriented learning.

Officials said the fair aimed to promote scientific curiosity and hands-on education among young students across South India. Ultimately, the event concluded with strong participation from teachers, parents and local officials at Sangareddy.
