Hyderabad: Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has expressed strong support for the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit, calling it a crucial platform to drive investment, collaboration, and strategic vision for the state’s development.
In a statement released ahead of the December 8–9 summit, Sonia Gandhi praised Telangana’s growth strategy as “exciting and promising,” and backed its long-term economic goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034.

She commended the Revanth Reddy-led government for adopting a balanced approach to urban, peri-urban, and rural-agro development. Sonia Gandhi noted that such a model could fully leverage the state’s human capital, technological strength, natural resources, and entrepreneurial energy.
The Congress leader also congratulated the Chief Minister for convening the global summit and said it could mark a significant step in achieving Telangana’s ambitious economic roadmap.
Extending her best wishes to participants, she expressed hope that the event would invigorate momentum toward inclusive growth and prosperity in the state.
