Sirsapalli dumping yard issue to be raised with CM, says Ponnam Prabhakar

Hyderabad: The proposed Sirsapalli dumping yard issue will go to the Chief Minister for a decision, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said while responding to local opposition.

The minister assured that he would place the demand to cancel the Sirsapalli dumping yard before Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said the government would take a decision after reviewing public concerns.

The dumping yard lies on the outskirts of Sirsapalli and Rangapur villages in Huzurabad mandal. However, local leaders opposed the project and demanded its cancellation.

On Friday, Prabhakar briefly halted his visit to the Illanthakunta Sri Sitaramula Swamy Devasthanam. He met an all-party delegation, which submitted a memorandum seeking cancellation of the Sirsapalli dumping yard.
