Shivaratri Vemulawada temple visit sparks mayor debate

Speaking to the media in Vemulawada, Ponnam Prabhakar commented on the Karimnagar Mayor post. He expressed confidence that the Congress party would secure control of the municipal corporation.

Referring to BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind’s reported withdrawal from the mayoral race in Nizamabad, the Minister questioned how Union Minister Bandi Sanjay could claim victory in Karimnagar without a clear majority. He stated that mayors are elected democratically in municipal corporations.

Ponnam Prabhakar said the Congress government would cooperate in development efforts. He added that the party would work to win the mayoral seat by bringing all sections together. The Minister also remarked that there would be camp politics for the posts of mayor and chairperson.
