Shabbir Ali urges scientific thinking at state science fair in Kamareddy

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir on Wednesday stressed the importance of promoting scientific thinking among students while inaugurating the 53rd State-level Children’s Science Exhibition and INSPIRE project display at Vidya Niketan School, Kamareddy.

Students present innovation-driven models on key themes

The exhibition showcased student projects on sustainable agriculture, water conservation, green energy, plastic alternatives, mathematics, health, hygiene, and environmental protection. These themes formed the core of the fair, with students presenting creative models addressing practical challenges.

“Children must be encouraged to develop an interest in science and innovation from a young age,” Shabbir Ali said. “These exhibitions reveal their hidden creativity. The models they create today will drive national development tomorrow.”

He added that such initiatives build confidence and help shape future scientists who can make meaningful contributions to India.

Zaheerabad MP Suresh Kumar Shetkar echoed this view, stating that research and innovation are central to national progress. He pointed to the impact of INSPIRE projects in nurturing a research mindset. “Even a village student can become a national icon like Abdul Kalam if given proper guidance,” he noted.

Shetkar encouraged students to seize educational and innovation opportunities provided by the Central Government and contribute solutions that benefit society.

The event saw participation from MLC Sripal Reddy, former DCC president Kaila Srinivasa Rao, Library Chairman Maddi Chandrakant, Congress leaders, officials, educators, and parents. The INSPIRE project, run by the Department of Science and Technology, aims to promote scientific exploration among schoolchildren across India.
