Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister D. Seethakka launched a fierce attack on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao following his speech at the BRS Silver Jubilee public meeting in Warangal, describing KCR’s remarks as those of an autocrat struggling to come to terms with the loss of power.
Seethakka said that KCR’s speech reflected internal conflicts and tensions within his own family. “You can clearly see the pain in KCR about the divisions and explosions within his family,” she remarked.
Highlighting the Congress government’s achievements, she stated, “In just ten months, we have provided jobs to 59,000 unemployed youth. KCR must explain how many jobs he gave during his tenure.”
Taking a direct dig at KCR’s family, Seethakka said, “While KCR’s children roam around in luxurious cars, our poor daughters cannot even travel in RTC buses?”
She criticised KCR’s alleged misuse of the police force, saying, “No one has ever used the police as disgracefully as KCR did.”
Seethakka accused KCR of leaving behind ₹60,000 crore in unpaid electricity bills when he left office. “He could not even organise proper protests at dharna chowks,” she added, mocking his political skills.
She also pointed out that farmers’ irrigation canals were filled in to make way for KCR’s meeting venue, questioning the sincerity of his concern for farmers.
Targeting KCR’s disdain for democratic institutions, Seethakka said, “KCR humiliated the Assembly by calling it a house of gossip. Does he have the right to even return to the Assembly?”
She questioned, “If the Assembly is mere gossip, why is KCR sending his son and son-in-law to contest and sit in the same Assembly?”
