Hyderabad: Women and Child Welfare Minister D. Anasuya Seethakka held a review meeting on Anganwadi functioning and called for a targeted 100-day action plan to address nutritional deficiencies among children.
In discussions with department officials, Seethakka instructed that the focus must shift toward measurable improvement in service delivery. She stressed that no scheme regardless of ambition would yield results without execution at the grassroots.
She directed officials to ensure children receive adequate, balanced nutrition aimed not just at weight gain or loss but at overall health. Nutritional services must translate into visible physical well-being, she said.
Senior officials including department secretary Anita Ramachandran, director Srujana, and regional and joint directors participated in the session.
