School bus inspections lead to seizures in Peddapalli and Medak districts

Hyderabad: As the new academic year begins, transport authorities have begun a statewide crackdown on school buses to ensure student safety.

In Peddapalli district, officials conducted checks in the Godavarikhani area, focusing on buses operated by private educational institutions. The checks weren’t just routine they covered everything from paperwork and vehicle fitness to the health records of drivers behind the wheel.

Similar action was taken in the Toopran area of Medak district, where eight school buses were found operating without the required permits. All eight were impounded.

Vehicle Inspector Srinivas Rao warned that strict action will be taken against school administrations running unauthorized vehicles.
