Hyderabad: Sajjanar’s anti betting warning came after senior IPS officer V. C. Sajjanar raised concern over rising deaths linked to gambling and urged people to stay away from betting.
In a message posted on social media, Sajjanar said stories of people dying due to betting addiction over the past year were alarming. He stated that many individuals ended their lives as they could not bear mounting debts or face society.
He added that impulsive decisions taken in moments of distress had left families in irreversible grief. According to him, the lure of a small win often pushed people into massive debts.
