HYDERABAD: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus overturned in Khammam district on Wednesday, leaving several passengers injured. The incident occurred in the Tannikila area, causing panic among travelers.
The bus, which belonged to the Sathupalli depot, was traveling from Hyderabad to Sathupalli at the time of the accident. There were 12 passengers onboard when the driver, in an attempt to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle, lost control of the bus, causing it to overturn.
Following the incident, police and RTC officials arrived at the scene and arranged for the injured passengers to be shifted to Khammam Government General Hospital for medical treatment. Three individuals reportedly sustained serious injuries, while others are undergoing treatment for minor wounds.
Authorities are investigating the accident to determine further details.
