Hyderabad: The high-intensity campaign for the Telangana municipal elections concluded on Monday, ending weeks of political activity across the state ahead of polling.
With campaigning drawing to a close, the ruling Congress further sharpened its strategy. After completing election tours in eight districts, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy convened an urgent Zoom meeting with Ministers earlier in the day.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy reviewed the political situation in 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations. He sought detailed feedback on the party’s grassroots strength across the state. He also asked Ministers about opposition strategies and the mood of voters.
The Chief Minister instructed Ministers to remain alert even after campaigning ended. He asked them to closely monitor developments until polling concluded. He also directed them to immediately resolve dissent and prevent rebel activity.
