HYDERABAD: The Telangana delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, visited the headquarters of Sony Corporation in Tokyo on Thursday as part of the state’s official tour of Japan.
During the visit, senior executives at Sony showcased their latest innovations and upcoming product lines to the Telangana team. The presentation included a special focus on Sony’s animation subsidiary, Crunchyroll, which is a global leader in anime content.
Emphasising Hyderabad’s growing prominence in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector, Chief Minister Reddy extended an invitation to both Sony and Crunchyroll to explore potential investment and partnership opportunities in Telangana. He outlined the state’s strengths in creative industries and presented his vision for a world-class film city in Hyderabad, equipped with end-to-end production facilities aimed at attracting global media and entertainment firms.
The visit forms part of the Telangana government’s broader initiative to position Hyderabad as a leading global hub for creative industries and advanced media technologies.
