CM Revanth Reddy orders expedited completion of Telangana Council building

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to accelerate the reconstruction of the Telangana Legislative Council building. This is to ensure the upcoming sessions are held at the heritage facility.

Accompanied by Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, the Chief Minister inspected the renovation works within the Assembly premises.

During the visit, Revanth Reddy reviewed construction progress with officials from the Roads and Buildings department. He also met with the Aga Khan Trust and Telangana Legislature staff. He sought detailed updates on the pace and quality of the works.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that interior, electrical, and minor repair works are pending. Meanwhile, chambers for the CM and Council Chairman are nearly complete. The building is expected to be fully ready by the second week of January, around the Sankranti festival.

Revanth Reddy instructed that all remaining work must be concluded by December to facilitate legislative use starting early 2025. Legislative Secretary Narasimha Charyulu and other officials were present during the inspection.
