Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday inaugurated the Malabar Gems and Jewellery manufacturing unit at Maheshwaram General Park, reiterating his government’s commitment to strengthening Telangana’s industrial sector through supportive policies and incentives.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth urged industrialists to invest in Telangana, promising a stable environment where government policy continuity would protect and support investments to remain profitable. He said Telangana had a legacy of positive industrial policies from previous governments, which the current administration was further enhancing.
Revanth announced plans to build the “Fourth City” Bharat Future City on 30,000 acres in Maheswaram, describing it as one of the most advanced cities globally. He said international consultants, including experts from Singapore, were working on plans to shape Bharat Future City, and these would align with the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document to be unveiled on December 9.
He emphasised Hyderabad’s capacity to compete not only with Indian metros like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai, but with top global cities. Highlighting Telangana’s position in IT and pharma, Revanth said 35 percent of bulk drugs produced in India come from Hyderabad, and the new Malabar unit would similarly place Telangana on the gold and jewellery industry map.
Revanth praised Malabar Gold for selecting Telangana, calling the choice of location both timely and strategic.
The event was attended by Minister for Industries D. Sridhar Babu, PCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Malabar Group chairman MP Ahammed, vice-chairman Abdul Salam, and other dignitaries.
