Republic Day celebrations held at Telangana Human Rights Commission

Hyderabad: The Telangana Human Rights Commission marked the 77th Republic Day at its Hyderabad premises on Monday morning, with Chairperson Justice Shameem Akhter unfurling the national flag at 8.30 am. The Republic Day celebrations included several commemorative activities and a display of patriotic spirit.

The Republic Day celebrations began with a guard of honour accorded to Justice Shameem Akhter. She then hoisted the national flag and acknowledged the salute. Officials said the event reflected the Commission’s commitment to constitutional values.

Several senior members and officers attended the celebrations. Judicial Member Sivadi Praveena and Non-Judicial Member B Kishore were present during the programme.

Secretary and CEO A N Kanti Wesley, Deputy Registrar-cum-PS B V A Vijay, Assistant Registrar (Judicial) Mohd Shahab Uddin and Public Relations Officer P Srinivas Rao also took part.

Deputy Superintendent of Police K Ramulu and Circle Inspector Renuka attended the event as well. Other gazetted and non-gazetted officers, police personnel and media representatives joined the celebrations.

Officials said the programme symbolised patriotism, unity and dedication to the constitutional mandate upheld by the Telangana Human Rights Commission.
