Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy Inter exams will begin on February 25 without even minor lapses, District Collector C. Narayana Reddy said on Tuesday, directing officials to ensure strict and seamless conduct.
He asked authorities to conduct the Intermediate annual examinations smoothly and without error. The exams will run from February 25 to March 18 between 9 am and 12 noon.
After a video conference, the Collector convened a coordination meeting at the Integrated District Offices Complex. RDOs, MPDOs, police, electricity, education and other departmental officials attended. He instructed them to coordinate closely and establish a robust administrative system for the Ranga Reddy Inter exams.
Ranga Reddy Inter exams across 200 centres
The Collector said officials set up 200 examination centres across the district. As many as 84,301 first-year students and 70,171 second-year students will appear. Altogether, 1,54,472 students will write the Ranga Reddy Inter exams. In addition, authorities arranged 31 question paper storage points.
He directed officials to install CCTV cameras at every centre and prevent mass copying. Meanwhile, police will deploy bandobast at all centres. Authorities will also close xerox centres during exam hours to prevent malpractice.
Further, RTC officials will operate buses on time so students can reach centres without delay. Medical officers will place first-aid kits, ORS packets and essential medicines at each centre. They will also keep medical staff available during exam hours.
Similarly, electricity officials will ensure uninterrupted power supply at all centres. Postal officials will properly receive and dispatch answer scripts. The Collector also ordered adequate arrangements for drinking water, fans and toilets.
He banned mobile phones inside examination centres. Students must not carry electronic devices, especially mobile phones, into the halls.
RDOs Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Ananth Reddy and Saritha, along with municipal commissioners and senior officials from education, police, postal, RTC and electricity departments, participated in the meeting.
