Ramchander Rao questions Priyanka Gandhi remarks on Bangladesh Hindus

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao made pointed remarks on comments by Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra condemning the growing violence against Bangladesh Hindus, highlighting the plight of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.

Ramchander Rao said it was surprising that Priyanka Gandhi spoke about the suffering of Hindus in Bangladesh. He remarked that the Congress had issued such a statement for the first time. Therefore, he said he felt satisfied that the party had finally begun to recognise the hardships faced by Hindus.

Ramchander Rao criticises Congress stand

Continuing his remarks, Ramchander Rao alleged that Congress leaders had historically supported forces that attacked Hindu dharma and opposed Indian civilisational roots. He accused the party of repeatedly backing elements hostile to Hindu interests.

Meanwhile, Ramchander Rao said Priyanka Gandhi should not restrict her comments only to the safety of Bangladeshi Hindus. Instead, he demanded that she oppose illegal Bangladeshi infiltration into India. He also urged her to support the removal of illegal migrants’ names from Indian electoral rolls.

Further, Ramchander Rao called on Congress leaders to condemn Pakistan-backed terrorists and other terror networks attempting to create unrest in the country. He advised the party to stop encouraging such forces and take a clear stand against terrorism.
