Raja Singh blames BJP state leadership for Jubilee Hills defeat

Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh on Friday strongly criticised BJP’s Telangana leadership following the party’s poor performance in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He accused senior leaders of undermining their own candidate and working against party interests.

Speaking to the media after the results, Singh said BJP leaders should learn unity from Congress, whose leaders worked collectively to ensure their candidate’s win. In contrast, he alleged, BJP leaders focused more on defeating their own nominee than fighting the opposition.

Jubilee Hills defeat sparks internal dissent in BJP

He expressed outrage that the party failed to even retain its deposit and questioned what explanation the leadership would offer. Singh directly named Union ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, and Rajya Sabha MP Laxman, blaming them for the setback.

Singh warned that if BJP leaders continued in the same manner, the party would face similar humiliation in upcoming GHMC and local body elections. He asked who would be held accountable for the Jubilee Hills defeat.

He accused the named leaders of weakening the party and preventing grassroots workers from rising. “I am not targeting anyone personally, but it pains me to see the party in this condition,” he said.
