Hyderabad: A rabid dog attacked nine people in Madnur mandal headquarters of Kamareddy district on Monday, leaving two of them seriously injured.
The injured were initially treated at the government hospital in Madnur and later shifted to Nizamabad for further care. Victims include Sheikh Khwaja Miyan, Aslam, Baby, Ersham, S.K. Harbus, Lala Goud, Sheikh Aman, Ramulu, and Mohan.
Residents said the attack has triggered panic in the area and blamed the authorities for ignoring the growing stray dog population. They alleged that repeated appeals for preventive measures had gone unheeded.
