HYDERABAD, February 12: Prominent BC leader R. Krishnaiah has demanded that the Telangana government immediately implement the Kamareddy BC Declaration, which promises various welfare measures for the Backward Classes (BC) community. Addressing the media on Wednesday, he emphasised that the Congress-led government must fulfil its electoral commitments without further delay.
Krishnaiah stated that the declaration, made during the elections, assured significant benefits, including increased reservations, financial aid, and dedicated welfare programmes for BCs. He criticised the ruling party for its inaction, cautioning that neglecting the BC community’s demands could have political consequences.
He further urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take a clear stand on the issue and initiate steps for the declaration’s implementation. Krishnaiah also called for a timeline on when the promised schemes and policies would be enforced.
With growing demands from BC leaders and organisations, pressure is mounting on the Telangana government to honour its commitments to the community.
