Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu began her annual winter sojourn in Hyderabad on Wednesday with her arrival at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad. She will stay there until December 22.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Ministers Sridhar Babu and Seethakka welcomed her at the Air Force Station in Hakimpet. Several senior officials also joined in receiving the President.
During her stay, the President will participate in multiple official events. On December 19, she will inaugurate a national conference of chairpersons of public service commissions, hosted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission.
President Murmu to attend major conferences during winter sojourn
On December 20, President Murmu will address a conference titled “Timeless Wisdom of Bharat: Pathways of Peace and Progress.” The event is being organised by Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar in Hyderabad to mark its 21st anniversary.
According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President will return to New Delhi on December 22 by a special flight.
