Hyderabad to host Poultry India Expo 2026, 51,000 visitors expected

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to host the 18th edition of Poultry India Expo 2026, one of the world’s largest poultry industry exhibitions. The three-day international event will run from November 25 to 27 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. It is expected to draw more than 51,000 industry professionals, and over 550 exhibitors representing nearly 120 countries will take part.

The Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) is organising the exhibition under the Poultry India banner. It will bring poultry farmers, equipment manufacturers, feed producers, breeders, veterinarians, technology providers and industry experts onto a common platform.

Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition. He will also inaugurate Poultry Knowledge Day, a specialised industry conference on November 24 at HICC–Novotel, Hitech City.

Spread across seven exhibition halls, the expo will showcase the latest equipment, products and technologies. They cover poultry breeding, hatcheries, feed manufacturing, farm management, housing systems, disease prevention, egg processing and waste management. Automated feeding systems, climate-controlled poultry housing, farm monitoring solutions, veterinary diagnostics and feed-efficiency innovations are expected to be among the major attractions.

India’s poultry sector sees rising demand

The event comes as India’s poultry sector sees growing demand for eggs and poultry meat. Producers are focusing on improving productivity, controlling feed costs and adopting advanced farming practices. India produced 142.77 billion eggs during 2023–24 and retained its position as the world’s second-largest egg producer. The sector is estimated to support 5–6 million livelihoods through farming, feed manufacturing, transportation, processing and equipment supply.

IPEMA–Poultry India President Uday Singh Bayas said the expo will give different segments of the industry an important platform to exchange knowledge, explore technological developments and build business partnerships. He noted that participation by domestic and international companies will encourage collaboration. It will also help Indian poultry businesses gain exposure to emerging technologies and modern farm management practices.

Poultry Knowledge Day on November 24 will feature discussions involving scientists, policymakers, veterinarians and industry representatives. Key subjects include poultry health, nutrition, vaccination, feed management, farm automation, artificial intelligence and sustainable production practices. The expo will stay open to industry visitors from 10 am to 6 pm on November 25, 26 and 27.
