Hyderabad: Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Thursday inaugurated a toll-free call centre and help desk for Indiramma housing beneficiaries at the Housing Corporation office in Hyderabad. The centre aims to resolve complaints and answer queries of applicants.
The Minister unveiled the toll-free number 1800-599-5991. He said the centre would operate daily from 7 am to 9 pm, allowing beneficiaries to register complaints and receive quick redressal.
Complaints to be tracked and resolved
Ponguleti explained that officials will verify beneficiary details through phone numbers and Aadhaar data. Complaints may involve non-payment of bills, delays in uploading photos, technical issues, or allegations of corruption. After verification, officials will forward cases to the concerned authorities and inform beneficiaries about the action taken.
He stressed that transparency is the foundation of the Indiramma Housing Scheme. Moreover, the programme already uses the Indiramma App and artificial intelligence to strengthen monitoring. “This call centre will help us stay closer to beneficiaries,” he said.
Focus on corruption-free housing support
The Minister added that the government is determined to complete house construction without corruption. He also underlined that the Congress government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is offering a subsidy of ₹5 lakh per house “unprecedented in the country.”
During the launch, Ponguleti directly spoke to a beneficiary through the call centre and personally clarified his doubts.
