Minister Ponguleti launches civic works in Mahabubabad worth over ₹25 crore

Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday launched civic and infrastructure projects worth over ₹25 crore across Mahabubabad town. He said the government remained focused on raising living standards through coordinated development and welfare programmes.

He laid foundation stones and unveiled plaques at several project sites. CM’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MP Porika Balram Naik, MLA Dr. Bhukya Murali Naik, and in-charge Collector Lenin Vatsal Toppo joined him.

Civic works in Mahabubabad target roads, drainage, and lake development

In Ward 17, CC roads, drainage systems, and pipelines worth ₹55 lakh began along Illandu Road. Similarly, Ward 6 in Bethole received ₹50 lakh for internal roads and drains.

Bandham lake will undergo a ₹7 crore beautification. In Ward 19, ₹64 lakh will fund multiple upgrades. Additionally, Ward 33 will get ₹40 lakh for infrastructure near the Tahsildar office.

The Minister also launched ₹3 crore worth of internal road works in Ward 23. At a key junction, authorities sanctioned ₹59 lakh for CC roads and drains.

Hastinapuram Colony in Ward 11 is set for a ₹12 crore development push. It includes flood-mitigation drainage works. In Wards 6 and 17, ₹50 lakh has been allocated for upgrades at Jyotirao Phule Junction.

More projects include ₹1 crore for Bodrai Centre in Wards 32 and 18. Another ₹1 crore will fund road works near More Supermarket in Wards 13 and 14.

Telangana government highlights two years of people-first governance

Marking two years of Congress rule, Ponguleti said the Revanth Reddy-led government was fulfilling every election promise. He added that the administration supported every poor family and stood by its commitments.

He described Telangana as the only state running such comprehensive welfare schemes. These programmes, he said, directly benefit citizens across all sections.

The Minister emphasised the equal importance of both welfare and infrastructure. Officials present included RDO Krishnaveni, Municipal Commissioner Rajeshwar, elected representatives, and senior district officers.
