Hyderabad: Acting on credible information, Medak Task Force police conducted a raid at a grocery shop in Kalakalla village under Manoharabad police station limits. During the operation, they caught the shop owner selling liquor illegally and seized the stock from the spot.

Officials said the shop belonged to Prabhakar Goud, who had been selling liquor without permission. The team found 120.150 litres of alcohol packed for sale. Consequently, the officers seized the entire stock and detained the seller on the spot.
Later, SI Subhash Goud from Manoharabad Police Station took charge of the accused and the confiscated liquor. He immediately began legal proceedings against Prabhakar Goud under excise and criminal law. Therefore, the case moved into investigation without delay.
SP warns against illegal liquor trade in Medak
Medak District SP D.V. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, said the police would deal firmly with anyone involved in illegal activities. He warned that those engaged in selling, transporting, or storing illicit liquor would face strict punishment. Moreover, he stressed that such crimes damage both society and public health.
In addition, the SP urged citizens to inform police about any unlawful liquor trade in their area. He said that with public cooperation, the department could eliminate illegal liquor from the Medak district. Eventually, he assured that continued vigilance would help maintain law and order.
