PM Modi says this is the best time for investment opportunities in India

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday declared that this is the best time for investment opportunities in India, citing rapid sectoral reforms and investor-friendly policies. Speaking at the inauguration of the India Mobile Congress, he said India is prioritising manufacturing in mobiles, semiconductors, and electronics, and emphasized the government’s strong focus on the Make in India initiative.

Modi asserted that India’s democratic framework supports ease of business, and that policy reforms under his government have positioned the country as an attractive investment destination. He called on industries, innovators, and startups to seize the current momentum.

“This is the most opportune time for investment, innovation, and Make in India,” Modi said, noting that reform speed is being further accelerated across key sectors. India is placing increasing emphasis on local production in semiconductors, mobile devices, and electronics, he added.

The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s strides in the digital economy over the past decade. He said that one gigabyte of data in India now costs less than a cup of tea, making digital access highly affordable.

Modi added that digital connectivity is no longer a luxury but a core part of every Indian’s life. He pointed out that India has become the world’s second-largest telecom market and holds the same position in the 5G sector. Recalling earlier limitations during the 2G era, he said 5G services are now available in every district across the country.
