PJTSAU question paper leak triggers suspensions, probe

Hyderabad: PJTSAU question paper leak sparked political controversy in Telangana after officials confirmed the involvement of staff from the Warangal Agriculture College.

The development triggered sharp criticism from opposition parties, which targeted the state government over the incident. Meanwhile, university authorities moved swiftly after evidence emerged linking college staff to the leak.

Accordingly, the university suspended a senior official and a Junior Technical Assistant with immediate effect. Officials said the two had acted in a manner that damaged the university’s reputation. The suspension orders followed preliminary findings in the internal inquiry.

At the same time, the university intensified efforts to trace the source of the PJTSAU question paper leak. Authorities said they would take strict action against anyone found guilty.

PJTSAU question paper leak probe expanded across colleges

To uncover the full extent of the PJTSAU question paper leak, the Vice-Chancellor ordered the formation of a three-member high-level special inquiry committee. The committee launched discreet investigations across agricultural colleges, including those in Warangal and other districts.

During the inquiry, officials found that some staff members had colluded with lower-level employees. They allegedly collected large sums of money and leaked examination papers. Investigators said the malpractice appeared to have continued quietly for some time.

Meanwhile, the committee examined CCTV footage from examination centres to verify movements and access. It also analysed WhatsApp chats and call data between the suspended staff and students. Additionally, committee members seized records from colleges under suspicion.

University officials said the investigation remained ongoing. They added that further action would follow based on the committee’s findings in the PJTSAU question paper leak case.
