More than 300 cycling enthusiasts participated, including corporate professionals, fitness groups, and residents from various parts of the city. The rally started from AOI–Citizens Specialty Hospital, continued through Hyderabad’s IT corridor to Wipro Circle, and later returned to the hospital.
Throughout the ride, participants promoted regular exercise, preventive healthcare, and timely health check-ups. Moreover, they encouraged women to schedule routine mammography screenings, which play a crucial role in early diagnosis.
Guests highlight prevention and awareness
Artist and trainer Dhasyam Geetha Bhaskar and Madhapur DCP Rithiraj attended the event as chief guests and joined the cyclists to show solidarity.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. K.V. Krishnamani, Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology, explained that early screening significantly increases recovery chances. He noted that hormonal factors, lifestyle changes, and genetic predisposition often contribute to the disease. However, he emphasized that balanced nutrition, consistent physical activity, and periodic screenings can lower risk.
Event concludes with a call for continued awareness
After the rally, participants pledged to continue raising awareness about women’s health and breast cancer prevention. Members of cycling clubs, AOI hospital staff, and volunteers actively participated, making the initiative both meaningful and memorable.
