HYDERABAD: Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) witnessed severe traffic congestion on Sunday, primarily due to vehicle breakdowns and road accidents. The situation has been persisting over the past few days.
On 25 April 2025, around 10 AM, traffic flow towards Gachibowli Junction was disrupted after a vehicle broke down on the road. The Cyberabad Traffic Police advised commuters to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
Additionally, on 20 April, an early morning car accident near Malkajgiri resulted in the tragic death of two IT professionals. According to the police, the accident occurred when their car, travelling from Medchal towards Patancheru, collided with a road divider. The vehicle overturned, leading to the immediate death of both individuals at the scene.
These incidents significantly affected the traffic flow on the Outer Ring Road, causing long delays for commuters. Traffic police have appealed to citizens to check traffic updates before travelling and use alternative routes wherever possible.
Meanwhile, traffic congestion was also observed on the highway leading to Warangal, attributed to the BRS rally held on Sunday.
