Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao on Tuesday said no individual is bigger than the party and emphasised that leadership roles must be distributed based on broader organisational considerations.
Speaking to a Telugu news channel, the former MLC said it is neither practical nor desirable to allot every key position to one person. He stressed that the party’s national leadership had assigned him the responsibility after evaluating all relevant factors.
Rao said strengthening the BJP’s presence across all social segments, especially among Backward Classes (BCs), would remain a key priority. He underlined the need to grow the party not only in urban centres but also in rural pockets.
The Telangana BJP, under its new leadership, aims to consolidate support at the grassroots and build organisational strength statewide, Rao said.
