Hyderabad: A Narsingi road accident killed grocery delivery rider Syed Samad after his motorcycle hit a tree pot on a road divider before a Tata EV collided with him on Friday. The fatal accident occurred at about 11.15 am on August 28 within the Narsingi Police Station limits.
Samad, son of Syed Gouse, had gone to First Club Grocery Store in Narsingi for his daily work. He later left the store on his Honda Shine motorcycle to deliver groceries.
Samad was travelling from Narsingi towards Gandipet when the accident occurred near Narsingi Bridge. According to police, his motorcycle first collided with a tree pot placed on the road divider.
At the same time, a Tata EV travelling from Gandipet towards Narsingi collided with Samad. He suffered severe bleeding injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
Narsingi road accident victim shifted to hospital
After receiving information about the crash, Samad’s brother, Syed Sadath, rushed to the accident site. Sadath, 38, found his brother lying unconscious at the spot. Samad was subsequently shifted to Renova Hospital in Langer House for treatment.
However, the attending doctor examined him and declared him dead. The motorcycle involved in the Narsingi road accident carried registration number TS 13 EP 8085. The Tata EV involved in the collision bore registration number TS 07 JT 8599.
Following Samad’s death, Sadath lodged a complaint with Narsingi Police. Police registered a case based on the complaint and started an investigation.
Narsingi road accident under police investigation
Investigators were working to establish the exact sequence and circumstances that led to the fatal collision. Police were also examining whether any person involved bore responsibility for the accident.
As part of the investigation, officers were examining the scene where the crash occurred. They were also inspecting the motorcycle and Tata EV involved in the collision.
Additionally, investigators were reviewing available CCTV footage and collecting eyewitness accounts. Police were examining other available evidence to determine how the Narsingi road accident occurred. The investigation remained in progress.
