Hyderabad: The Telangana government unveiled the Musi riverfront temple project, positioning a grand temple complex at Manchirevula as the centrepiece of a larger cultural and urban renewal plan along the river.
The project focuses on reviving Hyderabad’s spiritual heritage while integrating modern infrastructure. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is spearheading the initiative as part of a broader riverfront development strategy.
Officials said the temple complex draws from over 1,400 years of Shaivite traditions. The plan aims to reconnect the city with its historic religious roots along the Musi riverbanks.

The Musi riverfront temple project places the redevelopment of Sri Machileshwara and Sri Omkareshwara Swamy temples at its core. Authorities plan to transform the site into a major spiritual tourism hub.
