Mulugu Municipality elections see Congress sweep 12 wards

Hyderabad: The Mulugu Municipality elections resulted in a decisive victory for the Congress party, which secured 12 of the 20 wards, while its rebels won two additional wards. The BRS won five wards and the BJP secured one seat in the civic body.

State Minister Seethakka expressed happiness over the outcome. She congratulated the newly elected councillors at the Mulugu MLA camp office. On the occasion, she honoured them with shawls and distributed sweets.

Thanking the electorate, she described the outcome of the Mulugu Municipality elections as an unprecedented mandate. She noted that this was the first election conducted after the formation of Mulugu Municipality. According to her, the verdict reflected strong public endorsement.

The Minister said the results signified public trust in the Telangana government’s welfare initiatives and development agenda. She attributed the success to transparent governance and a corruption-free administration. In addition, she cited infrastructure development and accessible governance as key factors behind the performance.

Mulugu Municipality elections reflect trust in leadership

Seethakka credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for providing leadership that contributed to the electoral outcome. She also acknowledged the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and other Cabinet members. According to her, their collective work strengthened the party’s position in the Mulugu Municipality elections.

Furthermore, she advised the elected councillors to uphold the trust reposed in them by the voters. She urged them to accelerate development works in their respective wards. The Minister stressed that the government viewed the mandate as a responsibility rather than merely a victory.
