HYDERABAD: A mujra party held at a farmhouse in Moinabad was busted by the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) in the early hours of Wednesday. Acting on a tip-off, the police detained seven women and arrested 14 men from the premises. Authorities also seized 70 grams of ganja and several liquor bottles from the venue.
According to police, the raid was conducted within the jurisdiction of Moinabad Police Station following credible information about the illegal gathering. The event was hosted under the guise of a birthday celebration at the Holiday Farmhouse located in the Etabarpally area.
Investigations revealed that the organisers had brought in women from Mumbai specifically for the party. The detained women are reported to be from Maharashtra, West Bengal, and other states.
All seven women were rescued and shifted to a rehabilitation centre, while the 14 men were taken into custody and transported to the police station for further investigation. A case has been registered, and a detailed inquiry is currently underway.
